Alright chaps

Dazboy has a microsoft habu mouse... we are having problems configurating the side buttons... any ideas????

We've downloaded the software & Firm ware updates...... we have the side buttons to work as click & menu(right click & Left click) but struggling with the settings on COD4......

COD4 only recognises the following on a mouse;
left button
right button
scroll up (scroll button if it has one)
scroll down (scroll button if it has one)

Any other buttons can't be mapped in game.

However, your mouse software may be able to map a button to a key. For example, map G to side button. So you can then use the side button or keyboard G to throw grenade.

I don't know if this works for Habu, it does for logitec using the 'setpoint' software.

It may be worth members adding there keyboard / mouse configurations to help. I only use scroll up and down on the mouse. Everything else is done well on the keyboard. I'll post mine after this reply.

i have the same mouse as kaTana the Logitech MX1000 and using Vista and its default mouse software COD4 recognises by 2 side buttons as Mouse 4 & Mouse 5.

So maybe uninstall any software and let Windows do its thing ?

Seem to have it sorted now chaps...... i uninstalled it... re installed it... and changed the side panel and it works fine apparently... he's set one of the side buttons to melee and he says he knows it works as he stabbed lee last night!!!!

I know the little sod knifed me, i said it on TS too

I did to be honest stand right behind him on the Bog map for about 10 secs then knife him, so alls fair
