It's probably 'early days' and all that, but I'm sure that many of you already have your own ideas how COD4 MP could be improved. Is all that sprayin' and 'nading already getting on your nerves?

There is very little point setting a server up at the moment, just to mimic the 6500 others doing exactly the same thing. Obviously everyone has their own ideas how best to improve the online experience. As a clan, [=KBD=] do prefer the more considered approach to online gaming, but not taken to the level of CS. For many of us, a good dose of 'CODUO rifles only capture the flag' was the preferred evenings entertainment. This style of game gave us the opportunity to appreciate true skill, instead of 'strapping as many explosives to yourself as possible' approach taken by COD4. Only time will tell if COD4 can mature into this type of game.

On the mod front, there appears to be little talk of PAM and other such mods. This is largely due to the much anticipated Warefare mod system currently under development. It is rumoured that Infinity Awards will themselves develop the tools necessary to run the kind of diverse servers that we are all waiting for. Part of patch 1.2 was in readiness for it's release.

My only hope is that Punkbuster don't abandon the party (as they have done previously) just as things are getting going. Full, regularly updated, anti-cheat software support is an absolute necessity if COD4 is to survive and become the online gamers choice that it has the potential to be.
